We’re Hiring Coaches for the 2024-2025 Season

Description:

HFA is hiring Coaches for the 2024-2025 school year.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • coaching practices for TK-8 students at campuses in Compton, Downey, El Monte, or Whittier

  • utilizing HFA coaching curriculum

  • mentoring volunteer assistant coaches from local high schools and colleges

  • adjusting curriculum according to different levels and ages

  • setting up and cleaning up practice environment

  • assuring all equipment is organized and put away after practice

  • maintaining communication with HFA staff, volunteers, and families

  • creating a fun and encouraging environment for players and volunteer coaches of all levels

Work Details:

  • practices begin in the months of August and September (vary per district)

  • part-time position based on school district’s yearly calendar: shift hours vary, Monday–Friday; depending on your availability, you may be scheduled to work more than one shift

  • pay rate: starting at $22 per hour

Required Qualifications:

  • experience coaching school-age children

  • experience leading groups of school-age children

  • must be 18+

  • have a mode of transportation to get to practice in a timely manner

  • have a positive attitude!

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years of coaching experience

  • Bilingual: English and Spanish
